Effective guitar teaching strategies for young people. Guitar lesson and tutorial No.25

For effective learning to take place, kids must see their lessons as important, pleasurable and interesting. That's the goal of this guitar teaching method and video tutorials.

In this video, lesson 25 in the series, The student imitates their teacher to play the piece but must now mentally process notes of two different pitches in each bar. The student learns how to work out notes that 'skip' rather than move by step as in the last lesson. As for being a part in an evolving story, we learn that the main character, Simon likes to ride his skateboard and thinks he's pretty good. Subsequent pieces will reveal that he's not as good as he thinks he is and his friends let him know it.
